Summer Antics

Over the summer had lots of fun, from moving house, to days in the park and aunties visiting...

'Mummy's birthday cake was really nice, but i would have liked more chocolate!'

'Mummy and Daddy went to a wedding all by themselves and Nanna and Grandad Thomas looked after me'

'Mummy has being playing with photos of me and making them look weird!'
'mmmmmmmm'

'Me in my uv suit,, i think its my colour?!'

'I don't know if this blur thing works mummy?'

'Me with Aunty Ruth and my new book'

'Nanna and Grandad 'helping' with the garden but i can't see mummy or daddy?!'

New hobby, new car?!

Since my last post on the blog Elijah has moved on from woodlice to cars. Here are some of his views on the automobile world!

'This is a red car! I like red'

'Always see if the seat is comfy and the steering wheel is big. Personally the more time in the seat the better!'
'Does the car make you smile, this one does! '

'Can you look cool in it?''(I think I do, and that isn't a bogey its oil from checking the wheels!) '

'This one was the final favorite, perfect fit, colour comes with squeeky horn'

We have moved house and we have got to the stage of the house to being functional and nearly home.

We are renting in Pitsmoor and it was a state when we first saw it as about 10 Slovakians lived in it before. Its not much different to our old house its a bit smaller and more bodge jobs!!!! Our landlord lives over the road and is lovely but not very organised! He owns/mortgage 50 houses and started with one 9 years ago when he brought it for £9,000!

We're getting used to a very different area in which the air smells of curry and cars often screech by!

Well here are some pictures:

I'm hoping there will be before and after pictures of our 'gardens'!!!!

Children everywhere!

We had to postpone visitng our niece by a day because of
more flooding in the south and tales of people being on the M5 11 hours!
But here are some photo's of our gorgeous niece 'Hope'...there is also an excuse for buying lots of pink things!

We also had the priviledge of spending more time with the Shepherd's and this time with the Kelly's in Bristol as they live 10 mins from my sister.

...We have now entered the world of photos of shared bathtimes, which are very cute!!!!

summer holidays!

Well we left for our holiday the day after the chaos of the Sheffield floods and we went via my parents who had Elijah for a night so we could have a night away to celebrate our 4 years being married!!! Then we went via Bristol and stayed with the lovely Shepherds and saw my very pregnant sister who now has had a baby girl called Hope.

We reached Cornwall nearly a week later and here are some snaps of our time away! mainly from the beach a 5 min walk away

'these wellies seem to let the water in!'

'This is my new bucket and spade out on there 1st trip to the beach they seem to be just right!'

'My first time on the beach as a toddler and there is so much sand to eat!'

'This was my UV suit you might even think that there is sun outside?! anyway can always watch wimbledon!'

'And yes we did have some sun - praise God!'

'my holiday also constisted of walks around the garden with nanna and picking snails off the wall!'

Alpaca's and Woodlice

Near sheffield there is an amazing farm of alpaca's they are so cute! God has created such funny creatures. Elijah loves animals and every few seconds will let out an excited 'da' which means there!

Other animals Elijah found today were woodlice, he found if he flicked them they would wiggle there legs alot!

'now where are you hiding'

'I think i lost one down the back'

'Oh i've been spotted - quick everyone hide!'

Mansergh update (and my new shoes)

Well its June and the summer is here!? Thought we'd let all our blog readers know some of the Mansergh family updates (all 2 of you?!)

We are finishing doing the youth work at St. Thomas' in August. After that we are not sure what the next season looks like, although we know we want to work out how to live more as a missionary family in a more inner city area of Sheffield, pursue the calling on our lives and enter a season of transition/movement. Prayers for a house to rent asap and wisdom much appreciated !

Anyway back to more pressing issues such as pictures of Elijah and his newish shoes which are great toys to!!!!

'These are my new shoes'

'I generally like to do a sniff test first, but also great for chewing...'

'...for throwing...'
'... and generally finding hilarious...'
'And these are my walkers which I find generally useful for getting around, they both have there pros and cons but have improved my quality of life greatly! despite the odd checking of the wheels!'
